A project under the Global Programme Climate Change and Environment (GPCCE) of the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC), and is being implemented in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. IHCAP is supporting the implementation of the National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) as a knowledge and technical partner.

India and Switzerland joins hand for Capacity Building on Himalayan Glaciology

A new Capacity Building Programme on Himalayan Glaciology was inaugurated on 02 April 2013 at Jawaharlal Nehru University in the presence of Swiss Ambassador Dr. Linus von Castelmur and Dr. T. Ramasami, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Consultation Process on Himachal State Action Plan on Climate Change

18th December, 2013, Shimla

Department of Environment, Science & Technology (DEST), Government of Himachal Pradesh in collaboration with Indian Himalayas Climate Adaptation Programme organized a half day consultation process on draft State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC) on 18 December, 2012 at Shimla under the chairmanship of Director, DEST. Himachal Pradesh’s draft SAPCC was shared for consultation with representatives from various line departments of the State Government and Civil Society Organizations.
